Steingold joins local leaders in supporting Hayslett in FL-13
Clearwater, FL – Today, Safety Harbor Commissioner and former Mayor Andy Steingold announced his endorsement of Kevin Hayslett for Congress in Florida’s 13th Congressional District. Steingold is just the latest local elected official to endorse the former prosecutor and business owner. Hayslett continues to gain the endorsement of local leaders, positioning him as the frontrunner in the race to flip FL-13 and win back the Republican majority in the House.
Commissioner Steingold has been serving the Pinellas County area for almost two decades. In addition to serving as Mayor of Safety Harbor from 2006 to 2017, he was elected by his peers to serve as President of the Pinellas County Mayors Council from 2009 to 2011. Steingold now serves the City of Safety Harbor as Commissioner, a position he held before becoming Mayor.
“This is one of the most important elections of our lifetime, and I am so proud to be supporting Kevin Hayslett for Congress. Hayslett has a proven track record of serving our community, creating jobs, and keeping our families safe,” stated Commissioner Steingold. “Kevin Hayslett is a fighter who has the courage and conviction to stand up for our community.”
Hayslett has positioned himself at the top of the Republican ticket by gaining the endorsement of prominent local leaders. Commissioner Steingold joins a growing list of endorsements for Hayslett for Congress, including Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, former Pinellas County Sheriff Jim Coats, and former St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster.
“I’m honored to have the support of so many impressive local leaders, who have dedicated their lives to public service,” stated Kevin Hayslett, a former prosecutor and small business owner. “Day after day we witness the incompetency of the Biden Administration and enough is enough – it’s time to take back the House and stand up to the radical takeover of government.”
