Hayslett rises to frontrunner status in race for FL-13 with the strongest fundraising quarter in the race
Clearwater, FL – Since his campaign launch in January, attorney Kevin Hayslett has solidified himself as a frontrunner in the race for FL-13 with the strongest fundraising quarter of any candidate Republican or Democrat. Hayslett’s quarterly haul of over $750,000 is the best quarter posted by anyone in the race in the 2022 cycle. It is also more than all five of his Republican primary opponents were able to raise combined this quarter.
Hayslett enters the heart of the primary season with more cash-on-hand than any of his Republican opponents and the only candidate with the bank account necessary to take on the leading Democrats running in the open seat. Compared to challengers across the country, Hayslett out-raised nearly every Republican challenger highlighted in the National Republican Congressional Committee’s “On the Radar” program, which supports the strongest Republican challengers in the nation.
With the shifting district lines due to Florida’s redistricting, Hayslett is one of the few candidates actually living in the new district and one of the only Republicans with widespread local support from the area.
“In only 10 weeks, Kevin Hayslett has solidified himself as a frontrunner in this race by ending the quarter with the most cash-on-hand of any Republican candidate. A political outsider, Hayslett has deep roots in the community and that has translated into a broad base of local support with major endorsements from Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and former Sheriff Jim Coats. That’s why we’re well positioned to win and become the Republican nominee in August,” said general consultant Sam Oh.
