Hayslett Announces Raising Over $500k in Q2
Clearwater, FL – Kevin Hayslett for Congress announced raising $521,000 in the FEC’s second fundraising quarter, which is more than every other Republican in the race combined. The massive haul brings his total raised for the cycle to over $1.2 million and about $730,000 cash-on-hand heading into the final six weeks before the primary.
Having only entered the race for FL-13 in January, Hayslett has been the top fundraiser for two quarters in a row, out-raising the entire field in just ten weeks in the first quarter. Hayslett’s small dollar fundraising program, driven by his grassroots support, also out-raised the entire field – Republican, Democrat, and Independent candidates – combined. Notably, he outperformed the 2020 Republican nominee by nearly a 2:1 margin in terms of small dollar donations. Hayslett also has more cash-on-hand than any other Republican in the race, especially when looking at money actually available to spend in the primary.
Hayslett’s continued fundraising dominance shows his message is resonating with Pinellas County voters, and that despite the crowded Republican field, the people of Pinellas County are choosing to put their faith in him.
Hayslett recently released his first television ad of the election cycle. It highlights Hayslett’s strong record as a prosecutor and Trump Republican, along with his commitment to the people of FL-13 to finish building the wall. Hayslett is Law Enforcement’s choice for Congress and is endorsed by Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
“There is no question Kevin Hayslett is the strongest candidate in this race,” stated Sam Oh, Hayslett’s General Consultant. “Hayslett is a Pinellas County native and has deep roots in this community. His track record as a prosecutor and his work in the local community has positioned himself as law enforcement’s top choice and the best conservative candidate in FL-13.”
